- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon pepper
- 4 taco-sized tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese
- 1/4 cup pickled jalapeños (optional)
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
- Form the ground beef into small balls (about the size of a golf ball).
- Place the beef balls on the hot skillet and smash them down with a spatula to form thin patties. Generously season with salt and pepper.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes until browned, then flip and cook for another minute.
- Warm the tortillas on another pan for a few seconds on each side until they’re soft and pliable.
- Assemble the tacos by placing the smashed burger patties on the warmed tortillas.
- Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, cheese, jalapeños (if using), and finish with a drizzle of mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup as desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the smiles that follow!

Feel free to customize the toppings to your taste. Leftover fillings can be stored in the fridge for about 3 days.
