Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 lb (450 g) fresh green beans, trimmed
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ cup (25 g) grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wash and trim the green beans, then pat them dry thoroughly to ensure they roast nicely.
- Toss the green beans with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until they are well coated.
- Spread the beans on the baking sheet in a single layer — this ensures they roast evenly and get crispy.
- Roast for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through to achieve that glorious golden color.
- Sprinkle the beans with Parmesan cheese and roast for an additional 2–3 minutes until they are golden and crispy.
- Serve immediately, and if you’d like, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice for a zesty finish!
Notes
Make-Ahead Advice: Prep your green beans and toss them in the olive oil mixture a few hours in advance. Store them in the fridge until you’re ready to roast.
