Description

A quick and easy recipe for roasted green beans infused with garlic and topped with Parmesan cheese, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 lb (450 g) fresh green beans, trimmed
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ cup (25 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wash and trim the green beans, then pat them dry thoroughly to ensure they roast nicely.
  3. Toss the green beans with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until they are well coated.
  4. Spread the beans on the baking sheet in a single layer — this ensures they roast evenly and get crispy.
  5. Roast for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through to achieve that glorious golden color.
  6. Sprinkle the beans with Parmesan cheese and roast for an additional 2–3 minutes until they are golden and crispy.
  7. Serve immediately, and if you’d like, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice for a zesty finish!

Notes

Make-Ahead Advice: Prep your green beans and toss them in the olive oil mixture a few hours in advance. Store them in the fridge until you’re ready to roast.
