Description
A creamy, cheesy pasta dish that brings all the flavors of a bacon cheeseburger to your dinner table, perfect for weeknight meals.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces short pasta (penne, rotini, or elbow macaroni)
- 1 pound ground beef
- 6 slices turkey bacon (cooked and crispy)
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Cook the pasta by boiling a pot of salty water and cooking the short pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Brown the beef in a large skillet over medium heat until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart into crumbles.
- Sizzle the bacon, crumbling it into small pieces to retain its crispiness.
- Flavor it up by adding garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper to the skillet with the cooked beef. Stir well.
- Create the creamy sauce by lowering the heat and adding cream cheese and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until melted and creamy.
- Combine the drained pasta with the sauce, folding it in until fully coated. Top with the remaining cheddar and crispy bacon, allowing it to melt before serving.
Notes
Feel free to customize with additional ingredients like jalapeños or extra veggies. Best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can last in the fridge for up to 3 days.
