Description

Delightful cupcakes infused with zesty lime flavor and topped with creamy lime frosting. Perfect for any occasion!


Ingredients

  • 1 box White Cake Mix + box ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Lime Juice
  • 1 cup Butter (softened)
  • 4 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 6 tbsp Lime Juice
  • 2 tsp Lime Zest
  • 1 drop Green Food Coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. Prepare the cake batter according to the box instructions, replacing 1/2 cup of water with 1/2 cup of lime juice.
  3. Fill each cupcake liner about 1/2 full with the batter.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 16-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely on a wire rack.
  6. Begin making the frosting by creaming the softened butter until light and fluffy.
  7. Add in the lime juice and green food coloring, mixing until well incorporated.
  8. Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, until fully combined and fluffy.
  9. Add the lime zest and whip until evenly distributed.
  10. Transfer the cream into a piping bag for easy frosting application on the cooled cupcakes.

Notes
