Description

Quick and easy Instant Pot Cinnamon Apples that capture the nostalgic essence of fall with warm cinnamon and sweet apples.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Toss the apple slices with the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon until well coated.
  2. Add the butter to your Instant Pot and select the ‘Sauté’ mode to melt.
  3. Once the butter is melted, add the cinnamon-coated apples and stir gently.
  4. Pour in the water and sprinkle with vanilla extract if using.
  5. Close the lid, set the pressure release valve to sealing, and cook on ‘Manual’ high pressure for 1 minute.
  6. Perform a quick release of the pressure once cooking is done.
  7. Serve warm as a delightful side dish or a comforting dessert.

Notes

These Instant Pot Cinnamon Apples can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Feel free to use brown sugar for a richer flavor.
