- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: diced jalapeño or cayenne pepper for heat
- Optional garnishes: chopped cilantro, diced tomatoes, or avocado
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine the drained and rinsed black beans, lime juice, minced garlic, cumin, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Blend until smooth or to your desired consistency—feel free to leave it a bit chunky for some added texture!
- Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed. Add more lime juice for tanginess, or seasoning for more flavor.
- If you like a kick, throw in some diced jalapeño or a pinch of cayenne pepper during the blending process.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh chopped cilantro, diced tomatoes, or creamy avocado if desired.
