Description
A cozy family favorite dish filled with ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses, wrapped in jumbo pasta shells and topped with marinara sauce.
Ingredients
- Jumbo pasta shells
- Ricotta cheese
- Mozzarella cheese
- Parmesan cheese
- Fresh herbs (like basil and parsley)
- Marinara sauce
- Garlic, minced
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- Combine ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped fresh herbs, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Mix until well blended and creamy.
- Stuff each pasta shell with the cheese mixture, filling them generously.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish to prevent sticking.
- Place the stuffed shells in the dish, open side up, and cover with the remaining marinara sauce.
- Sprinkle some additional mozzarella cheese on top for an extra cheesy touch.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for about 25 minutes.
- Uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Make ahead by assembling the shells a day in advance, and refrigerate. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
