Description

A cozy family favorite dish filled with ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses, wrapped in jumbo pasta shells and topped with marinara sauce.


Ingredients

  • Jumbo pasta shells
  • Ricotta cheese
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh herbs (like basil and parsley)
  • Marinara sauce
  • Garlic, minced
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. Combine ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped fresh herbs, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Mix until well blended and creamy.
  4. Stuff each pasta shell with the cheese mixture, filling them generously.
  5. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish to prevent sticking.
  6. Place the stuffed shells in the dish, open side up, and cover with the remaining marinara sauce.
  7. Sprinkle some additional mozzarella cheese on top for an extra cheesy touch.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for about 25 minutes.
  9. Uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Make ahead by assembling the shells a day in advance, and refrigerate. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
