- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
- Combine the melted butter and sugar in a large bowl, whisking until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well until creamy.
- Stir in the sourdough starter discard until fully integrated.
- Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in another bowl.
- Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool before slicing into squares and serving.
