Description
A delightful no-bake dessert with layers of pound cake, vanilla pudding, and fresh mixed berries, perfect for Easter celebrations.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound cake or ladyfingers
- 2 cups of fresh mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 1 cup of heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup of vanilla pudding
- 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the pound cake by slicing it into cubes or, if you prefer, use ladyfingers for a light and airy texture.
- In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form, creating a fluffy cloud of deliciousness.
- In a trifle dish, layer half of the cake pieces at the bottom, creating a cozy base for your trifle.
- Add a layer of fresh mixed berries on top of the cake, allowing the colors to shine through.
- Spoon half of the velvety vanilla pudding over the berries, filling in the gaps with creamy goodness.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining cake, more berries, and the rest of the pudding, building towards the sky.
- Top with the whipped cream, and feel free to pile on additional berries and mint leaves for a pop of color if desired.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 60 minutes before serving to let all those lovely flavors meld together.
