Description
A refreshing blend of Earl Grey tea and tart raspberries, perfect for warm afternoons.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups water
- 2 Earl Grey tea bags
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen raspberries (plus more for garnish)
- 2 tbsp honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- Ice cubes
- Fresh lemon slice or mint sprig for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Brew the tea: In a small saucepan, bring half of the water (1 cup) to a simmer. While you wait, keep the remaining water in the refrigerator nice and cold. Once the water is simmering, add the raspberries. Mash them gently with a fork or a spoon to release their juices. After that, add the tea bags and let them brew for about 5 minutes.
- Strain & add lemon juice + sweetener: Carefully strain the tea into a heat-proof pitcher or container, ensuring no raspberry seeds make their way through. Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice and your choice of sweetener (honey or sugar). Taste your tea and adjust the sweetness if needed.
- Chill: Add the remaining cup of cold water to the pitcher, then pop it in the fridge to cool down completely. Give it about 30 minutes to reach that perfect chill.
- Serve: Fill your favorite glasses with ice cubes, and pour the beautifully colored tea over the ice.
- Garnish: Garnish your drinks with fresh raspberries and a slice of lemon or a sprig of mint.
- Enjoy: Take a moment to savor the beauty of your creation, sip and relax.
Notes
You can swap raspberries for other fruits and sweeteners to customize your tea.
