Description

These Cranberry Crumble Bars combine the tartness of cranberries with a buttery, crumbly topping for a delightful treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. Cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Gradually add in the all-purpose flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
  4. Press two-thirds of the mixture into the bottom of the greased baking pan.
  5. Combine the cranberries, brown sugar, and orange zest in another bowl.
  6. Spread the cranberry mixture over the crust.
  7. Crumble the remaining crust mixture on top.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool completely and drizzle with a glaze of powdered sugar and milk.
  10. Cut into squares, serve, and enjoy!

Notes

These bars can be made a day ahead and stored in an airtight container.
