- 1 package Oreo cookies (crushed)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- Combine the crushed Oreo cookies with the melted butter in a mixing bowl. Stir until well combined and press into the bottom of the prepared pan to form a crust.
- Beat the softened cream cheese with the granulated sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next.
- Stir in the sour cream until the batter is completely smooth.
- Pour the cheesecake batter over the crust and spread it out evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the edges are set but the center remains slightly jiggly.
- Cool the cheesecake completely at room temperature.
- Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until it simmers, then pour it over the chocolate chips. Stir until smooth.
- Pour the ganache evenly over the cooled cheesecake and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
- Slice into bars, serve, and enjoy!
