Description

A warm, chocolatey dessert perfect for gatherings or a cozy night in, featuring decadent layers soaked in sweetened condensed milk.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup chocolate syrup
  • 1 container whipped topping
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil in a large bowl. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for about 15 minutes.
  5. Poke holes all over the cake using the handle of a wooden spoon.
  6. Mix the sweetened condensed milk and chocolate syrup together until blended.
  7. Pour the mixture over the warm cake, allowing it to soak into the holes.
  8. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  9. Spread the whipped topping over the cake and sprinkle with chocolate chips before serving.
