Description

A comforting dish featuring tender beef, colorful bell peppers, and onions, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced thinly
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced (red, green, and yellow)
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch in a bowl. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the skillet and stir-fry until browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, toss in the sliced onions and bell peppers. Stir-fry until tender yet crisp, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet, sprinkle in the minced garlic, and mix until heated through.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, allowing flavors to marry.
  7. Serve hot over cooked rice.

Notes

For added flavor, cook rice in broth and store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
