A creamy and comforting Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta topped with crispy turkey bacon, perfect for busy weeknights.

- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 6 strips turkey bacon
- Salt/Pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 small boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups uncooked pasta (Rotini recommended)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 2 cups half and half
- 2 tablespoons dry ranch dressing seasoning mix
Instructions
- Cook the bacon: In a large skillet over low heat, cook the turkey bacon until it’s crisp. Once done, set it aside but be sure to reserve those delicious drippings! Once cooled, roughly chop the bacon into bite-sized pieces.
- Prepare the chicken: Slice the chicken breasts into thinner pieces. Season them with salt, pepper, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Next, sear the chicken in the bacon drippings over medium-high heat until it turns golden and is cooked through. Allow it to rest before cubing.
- Boil the pasta: In a pot of boiling salted water, cook the rotini until al dente. Then, drain and set aside.
- Make the sauce: In the same skillet used for the bacon, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant. Add the flour, stirring it well, and then gradually pour in the half and half, whisking until smooth. Stir in the ranch seasoning and cheese until the mixture is creamy and well combined.
- Combine: Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce, then add the chicken. Finally, garnish with your chopped turkey bacon. Serve this warm, and watch everyone gather around the table!
