Description

A delicious and easy no-bake dessert featuring layers of mascarpone cheese, fresh cherries, and coffee-soaked ladyfingers, perfect for cozy gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup cherry juice
  • 24 ladyfingers
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and chopped
  • 1/2 cup cherry sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Combine the brewed coffee and cherry juice in a small bowl.
  2. Dip each ladyfinger briefly in the coffee mixture and layer them in a trifle dish.
  3. Whip the heavy cream in a mixing bowl until soft peaks form, then fold in the mascarpone and powdered sugar until smooth.
  4. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  5. Layer half of the chopped cherries on top.
  6. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers, the remaining mascarpone mixture, and chopped cherries.
  7. Drizzle the cherry sauce over the top layer.
  8. Chill for at least 240 minutes or overnight.
  9. Dust with cocoa powder before serving for the perfect finishing touch.

Notes

This dessert gets better when made a day in advance as the flavors meld beautifully.
