Description

Juicy grilled chicken coated in a sweet and tangy Cherry Dr Pepper BBQ sauce, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Cherry Dr Pepper
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Get those grates nice and hot!
  2. Combine Cherry Dr Pepper, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Stir until well blended and set aside some for basting later.
  3. Brush chicken breasts with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, basting with the Cherry Dr Pepper BBQ sauce during the last few minutes.
  5. Remove from the grill, allow to rest for a few minutes, then serve with extra sauce on the side.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, marinate the chicken overnight in the BBQ sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
