Description

Delicious buttery mushrooms sautéed to golden perfection, perfect as a side dish or topping for various meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Fresh mushrooms (any variety – cremini, button, or portobello)
  • 1 tablespoon oil (olive oil or vegetable oil)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Clean and slice the mushrooms, ensuring they are free of dirt and debris.
  2. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add a generous pat of butter to the pan.
  4. Once the butter is melted and foaming, add the sliced mushrooms.
  5. Season with a sprinkle of salt, pepper, and a dash of garlic powder.
  6. Sauté for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender and golden brown.
  7. Serve as a delightful side dish, or atop toast for a quick snack!

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the pan; sauté in batches if needed for the best results. Use fresh mushrooms and store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
