Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. Mash the bananas until creamy, then mix in the melted butter until combined.
  3. Stir in the sugar and egg until the mixture is smooth, then add in the vanilla extract.
  4. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture, then gently fold in the flour until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts, if using.
  6. Divide the batter evenly among the muffin tin cups, filling them about three-quarters full.
  7. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
